8 Bengal players help East Zone lift Sr Women’s Inter Zonal T20 Trophy

A total of eight players from Bengal, who were part of the East Zone team, clinched the Senior Women’s Inter Zonal T20 Trophy in Lucknow on Monday.
Bengal's Deepti Sharma, Dhara Gujjar, Priyanka Bala, Richa Ghosh, Mita Paul, Titas Sadhu, captain Saika Ishaque and Shreyoshi Aich who were part of the squad played some outstanding brand of cricket in the tournament.
The final played at the Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium against West Zone was abandoned due to rain and East Zone were declared winners, thanks to their superior net run-rate and points in the league phase.
The East Zone team was coached by Probal Dutta.
