Priyanshu, Yudhajit impress for Bengal U-19
against Tamil Nadu in Cooch Behar Trophy

Priyanshu Patel (4-74) and Yudhajit Guha (3-76) were superb with the ball as Bengal Under-19 team reduced Tamil Nadu to 272/9 in their first innings at stumps on Day 2 in the Cooch Behar Trophy at the BCA Ground in Kalyani on Saturday.
Besides Priyanshu and Yudhajit, Koushik Dhibar (1-39) and Ankush Sur (1-13) also impressed with the ball.
After posting 246 in their first innings, Bengal bowlers executed their plans perfectly to not let the visitors gain a big advantage.
However, Tamil Nadu managed to go past Bengal with a handy 26-run lead at the end of the second day.
On the other hand, with just 1 wicket to go, Bengal will aim to complete the formalities on the third day and bat Tamil Nadu out of the game.
Earlier, resuming the day from 29/0, Tamil Nadu batters got off to good starts but the Bengal bowlers were clinical in getting the much-needed breakthroughs.
But, Sai Karthick (67 not out) and VS Karthick Manikandan (61) held on to help team gain the lead at the end.
