Sayan bags 5 as Bengal U-19 down Andhra by 168 runs in Cooch Behar Trophy

Riding on a superb bowling effort by Sayan Das (5-22), Bengal Under-19 team outclassed Andhra by 168 runs in the Cooch Behar Trophy in Kalyani on Monday.
Chasing a challenging 365-run target, Andhra, who ended the third day’s play at 97/4, found it tough once again to handle the Bengal bowlers on the fourth and final day.
The Bengal bowlers punched on the opportunity and bundled out the visitors for just 196 in 80.1 overs in their second innings to win the match by a big margin.
P Aditya Reddy top-scored with unbeaten 32 runs.
Besides Sayan, Priyanshu Patel (2-26), Rahul Prasad (2-31) and Vishal Shaw (1-30) impressed with the ball for Bengal.
Earlier, Bengal posted 208 in their first innings followed by 257 in their second, while Andhra managed only 101 in their first innings.
