Easwaran slams 141 as Bengal down Baroda by 95 runs in Vijay Hazare Trophy

Abhimanyu Easwaran smashed a superb 141 as Bengal outclassed Baroda by 95 runs in the Group E clash to register their second successive victory in the Vijay Hazare Trophy campaign in Mumbai on Saturday.
After a brilliant victory against Nagaland in their opening match, Bengal were put to bat against Baroda.
The Laxmi Ratan Shukla-coached side responded brilliantly, posting a massive 314/8 in 50 overs, In reply, Baroda were bundled out for just 219 in 44.2 overs.
Enroute his 138-ball innings, Easwaran hit 17 boundaries. Abishek Porel (59 off 65 balls), Anustup Majumder (41 off 47) and Pradipta Pramanik (35 not out off 14) also chipped in with crucial knocks.
After a dominant show with the bat, the Bengal bowlers also stepped up as Karan Lal (3-43), Pradipta (3-46), Mohammad Kaif (2-26), Akash Deep (1-20) and Shahbaz Ahmed (1-40) impressed immensely.
Bengal will next take on Tamil Nadu in their third Group E match on Monday.
