Anustup (197), Ayush (137*) help Mohun Bagan bag 1st
innings lead in Super League 1st Div match

Riding on a brilliant batting display by Anustup Majumdar (197) and Ayush Kumar Singh (137 not out), Mohun Bagan A.C took a vital first innings lead after their CAB Super League First Division Group A match against Shambazar Club ended in a draw on Wednesday. After Shambazar posted 395/9 in their first innings, Mohun Bagan gathered a massive score of 473/4 decl. at stumps on the third and final day, which handed them a vital first innings lead.
In other matches, Samik Karmakar scored a fine unbeaten 130 as Police Athletic Club took a vital first innings lead after their match against Calcutta Customs Club ended in a draw. Earlier, Calcutta Customs Club posted 297 in their first innings, in reply to Police Athletic Club’s score of 302. Police Athletic Club, in their second innings, scored 252/4 decl, while Calcutta Customs were 16 for no loss at stumps.
Bhawanipore Club took a vital first innings lead after their match against Kalighat Club ended in a draw. Bhawanipore Club post 354 in their first innings. In reply, Kalighat Club managed to post 278, thanks to Balkesh Yadav (5-43). While Bhawanipore scored 87/4 decl in their second innings and Kalighat managed only 24/1 at stumps on the final day.
Barisha Sporting Club took first innings lead after their match against Tapan Memorial Club ended in a draw. Barisha Sporting Club managed to post 495/4 in their first innings. In reply, Tapan Memorial Club scored 352, thanks to Akhil Kohar (94) and Gaurav Chauhan (80). Ankit Mishra bagged four wickets. In reply, Barisha Sporting, in their second innings, were 117/3 decl. at stumps.
East Bengal Club took first innings lead after their match against Town Club ended in a draw. Town Club posted 189 in their first innings while East Bengal scored 215 to grab first innings lead. Town Club, in their second innings were bowled out for 216. East Bengal, in their second innings, were 20 for no loss at stumps.
