Pawan scores fine 101 as George
Telegraph SC win in 1st Div two-day meet

Pawan smashed an unbeaten 101 to help George Telegraph Sports Club beat Rajasthan Club by 6 wickets in the CAB First Division two-day league cum knockout tournament on Monday.
Batting first, Rajasthan Club were bowled out for 193 in 65 overs.
In reply, George Telegraph Sports Club chased it down scoring 194/4 in 42.4 overs.
In the day’s second match, Mohammad Asghar Ali (6-51) bowled superbly to help Bhukailash Sporting Club beat Monohar Pukur Milan Samity by 211 runs.
Batting first, Saurabh Srivastav scored a fine 116 along with Bazlur Rahaman (81) to help Bhukailash Sporting Club post a challenging 358 in 80.2 overs.
In reply, Monohar Pukur Milan Samity were bundled out for 147 in 35.3 overs.
In the day’s third match, Ballygunge United Club beat Netaji Subhas Institute by 37 runs.
Batting first, Ballygunge United Club posted 252 in 69.2 overs.
In reply, despite a fighting 76 by Anup Samaddar, Netaji Subhas Institute fell short of the target scoring 215 in 63.5 overs.

In the day’s fourth match, Soumyabrata Nath (73), Anirban Gupta (53) and Munindra Maurya (52) helped BNR Recreation Club beat Wari Athletic Club by 2 wickets.
Batting first, Wari Athletic Club post 300 in 69.3 overs.
In reply, BNR chased down the target scoring 304/8 in 74.3 overs.
In the day’s fifth match, Arin Roy bagged four wickets followed by a match-winning unbeaten 54 to help Ananda Bazar Patrika Sports Club beat Tollygunge Agragami by 3 wickets.
Batting first, Tollygunge Agragami were bowled out for 166 in 57.1 overs.
In reply, ABP chased down the target scoring 172/7 in 50 overs.
In the day’s sixth match, Sporting Union defeated Kumartuli Institute by 7 wickets.
Batting first, Kumartuli were bundled out for 119 in 39.1 overs, thanks to Debtanu Baidya (4-34).
