Sourav boost team’s morale before Semi-final
16th March 2017
CAB President Sourav Ganguly took a session with the Bengal team today to boost team’s morale before tomorrow’s humdinger semi-final against Jharkhand at Palam in Delhi.
After beating Maharashtra in a battle of nerves in the last match, Bengal will remain confident with what they have done so far this tournament. While on the other hand, Jharkhand will also have their plans ready under the guidance of skipper MS Dhoni, who crushed Vidarbha in the last match by six wickets.
From the predictions of the last match, tomorrow’s match is expected to be a low scoring one. But that will not worry Bengal, who has done well in all parts of the game in the recent past, say it be batting or bowling.
With the openers giving Bengal a good start and the middle order capitalizing on it is a great sight to see, as skipper Manoj Tiwary had already said earlier, “Middle order plays a very important role in 50 over cricket. Only a good start is not enough. With Anustup coming into the side is a big advantage for us.”
The batting will be led by Shreevats Goswami and Abhimanyu Easwaran, followed by Agniv Pan and skipper Manoj Tiwary, before Sudip Chatterjee and Anustup Majumder comes in.
On the other handed, while the pace department will be head by veteran Ashoke Dinda followed by Sayan Ghosh and Kanishk Seth, in the spin there will be Pragyan Ojha and Aamir Gani.
