Sourav praise Bengal for good performance
15th March 2017
After snatching a thriller against Maharashtra to enter into the Semi-finals of the Vijay Hazare Trophy today in Delhi, CAB President Sourav Ganguly lauded Bengal for playing consistent cricket in the recent past. “It was a great effort put up by the team today. Chasing 318 was certainly not easy in a quarter-final match. But they handled the situation well and have shown real depth in the batting,” said Ganguly.
“The result of the vision 2020 camp has started to show up. The players are now learning to handle pressure situations. Having some really talented players, I expect this team will play better cricket in the next two years. It is just the beginning of the story,” he added.
Now, Bengal will play Jharkhand in the semi-finals, asked about any predictions on the match, he said, “It is expected to be a low scoring match at Palam, but we have a good side that has the potential to beat any opposition,” said Sourav.
Also, to support the team morale before the semifinals, Sourav Ganguly will be flying to Delhi tomorrow to join team Bengal.
