With farewell in mind, Manoj targets
glory with Bengal

16th December 2022
After an illustrious career spanning over little less than two decades, Bengal top order mainstay Manoj Tiwary is looking forward to calling it a day after guiding Bengal to their Ranji Trophy title this season.
Manoj, who made his debut for Bengal back in 2004, led from the front and played a masterclass of an innings when he remained unbeaten on 60 to help Bengal beat Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy opener at the Eden on Friday.
"It has been a great journey so far. Donning the Bengal jersey has always been a special moment. I want to do something special for Bengal this time, that is to win the Ranji Trophy and then call time on my career this season," Manoj, who made his international debut back in 2008, said.
It will surely be a grand and fitting farewell for the 37-year-old, if his teammates can win the prestigious tournament for Bengal's own Manni.
