Bengal look to keep a clean sheet
5th March 2017
Bengal look to run their winning record as they take on Gujarat in their last group league match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy tomorrow at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Skipper Manoj Tiwary said, “We will look to keep out winning run on when we go for tomorrows match. We don't want to lose a match before the knockout stages. Win tomorrow's means winning all the matches in the league stage. This gives you a great confidence.”
About the team he said, “We would like to rest few key players. But we will also make sure that it doesn't affect the right combinations of the team.”
On the other hand, Gujarat won three out of five matches they played so far this tournament. They lost to Mumbai in the last match by 98 run and will try to get their wheels on winning tracks.
“They are a good side. We will not take them easily. We have our plans ready for them. This match is equally important for us. As I said earlier, going into the knockouts with all win record in league matches lift your confidence to a different level,” Manoj concluded.
