Bowlers impress as CAB local season returns

The local CAB Super League Group A got off to a rollicking start at the Bengal Cricket Academy in Kalyani with Ravi Kant Singh claiming an impressive seven wickets to help Bhowanipore Club bundle out Shyambazar.
Ravi Kant Singh's prowess of 7 for 26 saw Shyambazar Club get skittled out for just 144 in 43.4 overs.
Ravi Kant troubled each and every batsman as Surya Gaur managed to top score for Shyambazar with 68 runs.
In reply, Bhowanipore also lost wickets at regular intervals and were 110/5 in 26 overs stumps on Day 1.
In another match at the Deshbandhu Park Ground, Kolkata, Barisha Sporting Club bowler Ankit Mishra (5-63) bowled superbly to pick up five wickets to help his side bowl out Paikpara Sporting Club for 216 in 80 overs.
Half-centuries from Dibya Majumdar (66), Rahul Dagar (56) and Poonish Mehta (51) helped Paikpara Sporting Club cross the 200-run mark.
In reply, Barisha Sporting were 16/1 in 10 overs at stumps.
In the day’s third match at Aditya Academy, Barasat, Subham Chatterjee scored an impressive 96 off 132 balls to help Kalighat Club reach 298/5 in 88 overs at stumps against Police Athletic Club.
Subham was well supported in the other end by Abhishek Bose (54) and Abhishek Mishra (54).
