Bengal ride Manoj ton to pummel Goa

Riding an unbeaten run by skipper Manoj Tiwari, Bengal cantered to an eight wicketvwin against Goa today to maintain an all win record in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in Chennai.
Chasing Goa's 213 for 9, Bengal won with 14.1 overs to spare reaching 214 for the loss of two wickets only.

"It was a good match. The boys played very well. They choked the opposition once they got a chance. We need to have this winning momentum and carry on the form. We are a perfect mix of young and experienced and we need to showcase our capacity on a stage like this," Manoj said.
Speaking about his form, Manoj said: "It always feels good to get runs. I have worked hard at the nets and put in hours of practice. The hard work and dedication is showing. I need to carry this form in the tournament. The team is winning and that is the biggest achievement."
Earlier, batting first Goa reached 2 for 114 and looked set for a big score, but lost seven wickets for just 99 runs to finish at 213. Sumiran Amonkar (30) and Swapnik Kauthakar (23) could not convert their starts, while the run out of Amog Desai at the hands of Anustup Majumdar for 49 triggered the collapse.
Rookie Kanishk Seth took three wickets for 50 runs, while Amir Gani took two to finish Goa's resistance.
