Dhoni’s century hurt Chhattisgarh

Riding Skipper Dhoni’s 129 off 107 balls, Jharkhand beat Chhattisgarh by 78 runs in a Vijay Hazare Trophy match today here in the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
Chasing Jharkhand’s 243 for 9, Chhattisgarh were bowled out at 165 within 38.4 overs.
Varun Aaron and Shahbaz Nadeem topped the bowlers for Jharkhand taking three wickets each.
In another match played at the Jadavpur University Ground, Karnataka claimed their second win of the tournament, beating Services by 4 wickets.
Winning the toss Karnataka chose to field, restricting the opposition at 231 for 7 in 50 over. Thereafter, coming out to bat, Karnataka chased it comfortably within 44.1 overs.
Pavan Deshpande score 73 in Karnataka’s chase, followed by Robin Uthappa and Anurasdha’s 51 and 50* respectively.
On the other hand, Hyderabad beat Saurashtra by 113 runs in Bengal Cricket Academy Ground, Kalyani.
Hyderabad batted first to reach 312 for 7, riding an excellent 154 by Akshath Reddy. Thereafter, coming out to bat Saurashtra were polished off at 199 within 38.5 overs.
For Hyderabad, C V Miling took 4 for 30, helped by Ravi Kiran and Mehdi Hasan’s two wickets each.
