Bhawanipore's Koushik hits double ton;
Bagan post 600-plus

Koushik Ghosh's purple patch continues as the Bhawanipore batter slammed double ton in CAB First Division Championship playoff while Mohun Bagan buried United Club under pile of runs riding on Sudip Chatterjee's 170 in another match.
Koushik has now scored 647 runs in 7 matches this season so far including 2 hundreds and the double ton today. Koushik made 218 today as Bhawanipore amassed 510/9 while opponents Rajasthan Club bolwer Mandeep Singh picked up 6 wickets. Rajasthan Club made 114/2 at the end of the day's play.
Sudip slammed 170 off 199 balls, experienced campaigner Anustup Majumder missed out on a well-deserved hundred by 1 run as Bagan scored 635/6 against United Club. United ended the day on 128/2.
In another first division match Paikpara Sporting rode on Akash Shukla 153 to post 430 while opponents Kolkata Union Sporting bowler Viswajeet Mishra registered five-wicket haul.
In NC Chatterjee Memorial T20 trophy WB Police Sports, Bantra Cricket Club scored 200-plus and won their respective games.
WB Police batter Nitya Nanda Majhi hit a whirlwind 56-ball 124 to post a huge 267/3 and beat WB Association of Deaf by 117 runs, Bantra defeated Bengal Sporting by 22 runs.
Excelsiors Club chased down 205-run target set by Gymkhana thanks to Rahul Roy and Imran Khan half-centuries. Gymkhana batter Victor Upadhaya's 100 off 46 balls went in vain.
Souvik Bhattacharya took 5 for 18 to power Central Calcutta Sporting to 16-run victory over Friends Athletic in a low-scoring encounter.
