Bowlers keep Bengal U19 dominant

Bengal U19 team rode on dominating performance by their bowlers to end the first day of their Cooch Behar trophy opener against Bihar on 117/3 after bundling out opponents for a paltry 139 runs today.
Electing to bat first Bihar got off to a steady start till Debopratim Halder drew the first blood removing opener Suryansh Raj (24) to reduce Bihar to 42/1.
After that Bengal bowlers lassoed opponents' batters to not let any bug partnership get build. Debopratim and Siddharth Singh picked 3 wickets apiece while Toufiq Uddin and Milind Mondal took 2 wickets apiece.
While batting Toufiq starred with bat too with a fine 40 off 55 balls to give Bengal a steady start. Skipper Abhishek Porel stayed unbeaten on 42 along with Shashank Singh (16) at the end of the day's play trailing by 22 runs.
