Dhoni felicitated at Eden Gardens, four stands named

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) set up a series of engagements in between the two innings during the third ODI between India and England at Eden Gardens.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who gave up captaincy from the ODI format also at the beginning of the series, was felicitated with a crystal trophy of a stallion, a shawl and a scroll. Kapil Dev, P V Shetty,CAB President Sourav Ganguly and Jt Secretaries Subir Ganguly and Avishek Dalmiya were present during the felicitation.
While Kapil Dev presented the crystal, Mr Shetty gave the scroll while Avishek Dalmiya presented the shawl to the former India skipper.
The presentation began with a clip being played on Dhoni.
This was followed by ceremonial naming of four stands. The Pankaj Roy Stand was illuminated by former Indian skipper Sunil Gavaskar and CAB Joint Secretary Avishek Dalmiya, the B. N. Dutta Stand was illuminated by former England captain Nasser Hussain and CAB Joint Secretary Subir Ganguly, the Jagmohan Dalmiya Stand by Sourav Ganguly and Mrs Chandralekha Dalmiya and the Sourav Ganguly Stand by former Indian skipper Kapil Dev and Chairman Trustee Board, CAB, Gautam Das Gupta.
Earlier, Sunil Gavaskar rang the Eden bell to get the third ODI underway.
