Karan Lal's (in photo) unbeaten ton helped Bengal U19 post 305/7 and end the first day of their Cooch Behar Trophy encounter against Chattisgarh today at Eden Gardens.
Earlier the visitors won the toss and elected to field while Bengal got off to a decent start.
Karan Lal remained unbeaten on 101 while Abishek Porel added crucial 66 runs off 100 deliveries before being caught by Nikhil Kanoriya off Prabhat Anand.
For Chattisgarh Vijay Yadav, S Solanki and Sunny Pandey bagged 2 wickets apiece.
