Pankaj hit unbeaten 413 in first division

Pankaj Shaw of Barisha sporting club today scored an unbeaten 413 against Dakshin Kalikata Sansad, recording a high individual run ever scored by any in first division cricket.
Pankaj’s knock made Barisha reach a mammoth total of 708 for 8 in their first innings, leading opposition by 339 runs.
The 28-year-old struck 44 fours and 23 sixes in the innings.
However, the match ended in a draw with Dakshin Kalikata Sansad finishing their second innings at 96 for 2 in 20 overs. From the match Barisha will get 4 points, while the opposition getting 2.
Shaw made is his Ranji Trophy debut last year against Rajasthan.
“Scoring runs always give you confidence in which ever form of game it may be, and so it is in my case. Though it was not a very tough wicket to bat on. The ball was coming to the bat easily. But concentration was the key factor. I will have to work harder and try to hold on to the form in the rest of the season,” Said Pankaj after the match.
